Accommodation

Lakefield is a unique five-bedroom single story property built over and around a large wet-dock boathouse. It enjoys uninterrupted views of the lake from all principal rooms.

 Accommodation is provided in Windermere, a double bedroom (260 sq ft) with en-suite bathroom, Coniston a twin bedroom (196 sq ft) and Ennerdale, a twin (210 sq ft). Buttermere is the master bedroom (260 sq ft) with a king-size bed, en suite shower, basin and wc.

In addition, if required Ullswater, the Owner's Suite (600 sq ft), is available at a supplementary charge. With bath, shower basin, wc and walk-in wardrobe, the suite features lake views from two separate elevations and includes a small breakfast kitchen with toast and tea/coffee making facilities.

Only family bookings are accepted with a maximum eight persons plus a cot. Sorry no pets. Due to the close proximity of the lake and ponds in the grounds, Lakefield is unsuitable for small unsupervised children.


 TV, DVD player, auto washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric cooker, oil-fired central heating and two wood-burning stoves. Electricity and oil at cost by meter reading, logs charged extra. Beds made up, cot, high chair and towels are available at extra cost. Lakefield has a broadband connection with free wifi useage for our guests.
